Child’s Play – Quickie Review

It has been a couple of years since I’ve last seen the movie and I hadn’t seen it since its theatrical release. It holds up pretty well. The puppet special effects look as good as they did in 1988. It’s still creepy and surprisingly more violent than I remember. Me likey.

In Bruges – Quickie Review

One of the biggest surprises to come out of 2008, and it was one of my favourites. It’s profane, bloody, offensive and darkly humourous so I loved it. Colin Farrell delivers his best performance to date; Gleeson is solid; Fiennes is an absolute natural at comedy. Highly recommended.

Saw – Quickie Review

The first of the series is still the best. Extreme gory, very original, creative deaths and a jaw dropping twist ending. It’s enjoyable and continues to be creepy.

Mad Max: Fury Road – Quickie Review

Easily, one of the best pure action movies I’ve seen in a long time and one of the best movies of 2015. The practical stunt work and choreography is stellar and their blend with the CGI is seamless. Highly enjoyable, multiple rewatches to come.
