Quote of the Day – November 27, 2015
“Do you expect me to talk?” “No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!”
“Do you expect me to talk?” “No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!”
I’m under the belief that Michael Keaton won his Oscar for Birdman because he was overlooked for this movie. For the record, he was brilliant in Birdman as well. Michael is Beetlejuice. His performance is so gleefully over the top. The art direction is fantastic and magical as it is in nearly every Tim Burton film …
“I like that Lotso’s pink fur smells like real strawberries.”
“Do you wanna give up? You wanna sit here and die, tell me, and I will sit here and die with you.”
This is by far, my favourite Travolta film. And yes, I’m putting this above Pulp Fiction. A very faithful adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel. A sharp script by one of my favourite screenwriters, Scott Frank. An ensemble to die for, but Dennis Farina steals every scene he’s in. So f’ing good, love it.

“Two days ago, I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker. You want to get out of here? You talk to me.”
The name is much better than the movie. The idea is cool and the killer is interesting enough, but it’s kinda boring. Most horror films are built on gore and/or suspense. If it only has one, you depend on the other hopefully picking up the slack. However, this doesn’t have suspense and the method of death …
“It is funny when they all get covered in sprinkles.”
“Hey… you wanna see something really scary?”
