Classic Vincent Price tale of macabre. Obviously, it’s head and shoulders above the remake. I assume the premise would have to horrifying at the time. While the scares aren’t there, the charm is, as well as wonderfully poetic script. Price is impeccable. The only thing the remake holds over the original is that we get to see Paris Hilton die.
