Mud – Quickie Review

A tremendous performance by McConaughey supported by a stellar ensemble highlighted by newcomer Tye Sheridan. A dramatic slow-burner that is continually intriguing and full of surprises. Easily one of McConaughey’s best.

Hobo With A Shotgun – Quickie Review

Based on the fake trailer with the same name which played before Grindhouse for the Canadian theatrical run. Over the top violence, creative death sequences (love the nooses with the crossbows), and thoroughly coated with cheese. Rutger Hauer is perfectly cast. Terrific fun.

Collector, The – Quickie Review

Fantastic and often cringe-inducing gore. Inventive death sequences. One of the better horror films, and horror villains to come around in a long while. A must-see for slasher fans. A real treat.
