The story of soldiers on a German U-boat during WWII. This movie is a masterpiece. Seemingly authentic, incredibly tense and very claustrophobic. Top notch performances all around and the film manages to do the impossible; it makes you feel sympathetic for these German soldiers whom are caught up in a war and a government’s ideology they don’t fully support or even understand. Powerful.
