George C. Scott gives a commanding performance in the second follow-up to the classic that completely ignores the second part. Way better than the sequel, but a far cry of the original. It’s more of a murder mystery with elements of horror. The banter scenes early on between Kinderman and Dyer are very funny. Also, Brad Dourif steals every scene he’s in. He’s frightening.
