A hot shot, big city cop is sent to a sleepy countryside town because the higher-ups are tired of him showing up the other policemen. This is an ultra funny, ultra violent action thriller send-up. So many smart references to other films, great one-liners, sight gags and the tremendously talented cast from top to bottom. Paddy Considine popping in and out of frame is still hilarious.
