It would not be an enviable task to try and follow-up an absolute classic. While it does not reach the heights of the original, this is a very worthy sequel. Well crafted, very suspenseful script with plenty of clever surprises. Perkins is sublime once again as Norman Bates who may or not be slipping back into insanity. An ’80s slasher classic in its own right. Love the ending.
