Old School – Quickie Review
A great launching pad for Will Ferrell’s post SNL career. Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson are also as the top of their game. So many very funny one-liners and sight gags. Good clean, raunchy fun.

I can sum up this movie with one word: Delightful. James Stewart is effortlessly charming, as usual, in this spirited and very funny movie. This is film is pure magic.
“I like when the kids, especially Freddy, pretend to be sick.”
Totally original, totally inventive movie. Edgar Wright is at the top of his game. Endlessly funny, wonderfully creative. I only wish it performed better at the box office so there could have been a sequel. Michael Cera is perfect; Kieran Culkin steals every scene he’s in.
Fearless. It’s absolutely fearless… and shameless. Constantly funny, intentionally absurd and offensive. Cohen is masterful.
“It’s sad when the ant gets killed by the scorpion.”
A marvelously inspired fanboy sci-comedy written by and starring two fanboys. You don’t have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy this movie, but it helps. It helps a lot. From the in-jokes to the subtle references to the key casting choices and the deliberate homages, this movie is jam-packed with everything a fan could …
I was recently contacted by Kenton Hall, the writer/director/co-star of the British film I’m about to discuss, offering me a chance to review his independent project prior to its release. And I replied with a, “Jolly good ol’ chap, I’m gob-smacked, you must be taking a piss, I’d love to.” Actually, I didn’t say any …
Endlessly silly, but utterly loveable. It funnier to me now than it was when it first came out. The world needs more movies from Weird Al.
One of the biggest surprises to come out of 2008, and it was one of my favourites. It’s profane, bloody, offensive and darkly humourous so I loved it. Colin Farrell delivers his best performance to date; Gleeson is solid; Fiennes is an absolute natural at comedy. Highly recommended.
