Town That Dreaded Sundown, The (1976) – Quickie Review
An ok horror flick inspired by actual events. It was also among the first slasher films. I remember seeing this movie on the rental shelf when I was a kid. Thanks to Scream Factory, I was finally able to see it. Decent death scenes, but the movie fails to build any sort of suspense since the narrator tells the viewer right at the beginning that the killer is still out there so you know he doesn’t get caught and that there will be no final showdown.

Brain Donors – Quickie Review
A very funny movie in the tradition of the Marx Brothers. John Turturro is fantastic in the Groucho inspired role. Rapid fire jokes and sight gags elevate this move. Not all jokes hit, but there are far more hits than misses. The opening credit sequence is awesome, but an obvious ploy to pad the running time.
